Hung Cong Tran
My name is Hung Cong Tran. My full name in Vietnamese is Trần Công Hùng. I am currently a post-doctoral faculty in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma. Previously I was a Limited-Term Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Georgia. I received my doctorate at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December 2015 under the direction of Prof. Christopher Hruska.

My primary research areas are in geometric group theory and low-dimensional topology. In particular, I am interested in quasi-isometry classification, commensurability classification, and geometric relationships between a group and its subgroups. Most of my research focuses on CAT(0) spaces, relatively hyperbolic groups, right-angled Artin groups, right-angled Coxeter groups, and groups acting on manifolds.
